Transcription: process of copying the genetic instructions present in DNA to messenger RNA.

Translocation: process of decoding the gentic instructions in mRNA into a protein (polypeptide chain) built of amino acids.

Transcription - Information on the DNA is copied onto an RNA molecule
Translation - Information now on RNA molecule is used to make a new polypeptide (made up of a sequence of amino acids)

i think that covers it!!
