Probably pretty simple.

"Express as a single fraction with rational denominator"

a/b + c/d = (ad+bc) / (bd)

Solve it using that formula.

Dude this is easy.
1. You need to separate it into 2 different parts
2. rationlise it from there
3. add the 2 together

Why can't you do it? Can you identify the problem that's preventing you from making progress?

Sorry, I really need to see working.
Have you learnt how to rationalise the denominator of a single fraction? If so, these questions are just based on that. Rationalise each denominator, and then add the fractions with rational denominators by taking a common denominator.

If you haven't yet learnt how to rationalise denominators, you probably should learn that first.

Dude this is a year 9/10 question. Did you get taught this is year 9/10 because if you didn't then your school didn't follow the maths curriculum properly

I'm sorry, but seriously this is irrelevant. All I asked for was working, yes I learnt surds and yes I was terrible at them hence my question.
