I haven't decided any preferences for UAC yet

I dont know what to do at uni
I dont know what uni to go too
Im afraid that if i choose the wrong course
It will be a waste of time and money

I really dont know what course to choose for my future career
I dont even know what kind of career i wanna pursue in the future

Someone can give me any advices?

I talked to my career adviser at school
And she was like "i cant decide for u, just choose the course u like/interested"

I dont have any particular hobbies, no interests, no goals in life
I dont like any subjects in particular
I am just average for all my subjects
My subjects also are the subjects i hate the most (only do it because its in high demand at my school)

XD

Boring life ~~~~

Seriously have no idea what course to put down for UAC
my estimated atar (i estimated myself) about 85

What course should i do then ?

Well if you have no idea, then do something broad, like B Science or something... Or maybe a double degree. That way you'll have scope to move into something more specific once you know what you're interested in. I know, not really advice... But hope that helped a little

Do a uni degree with job prospects and something that interests you. I'm sure there is something that interests you

Go to Open days. Here is a thread I made regarding UNSW open day:

http://community.boredofstudies.org/115/university-new-south-wales/326042/unsw-open-day-2014-a.html

I would highly recommend you also attended other open days at other universities such as USyd, UTS, UWS, etc.

Keep in mind what you are interested in.

Ask yourself what your favourite subject is right now.

Do your research.

Ask questions at Open Days too!!! You should try and benefit from the experience and learn about what you are going to be doing for the next few years if you choose that path.

Well,
I did go to open day , over the last two years
I also attended many hsc workshops at different uni
And walk around those uni to see if i like it or not

But still, i have no idea what uni should i put for the preferences

Also , i know that you should do something broad
But like for example between BScience or Bcommerce or BEducation , etc
im just afraid that i may choose the wrong course and wasted money on that course

Im so scared that i dont even know what to do and im just so afraid to put down any preferences

put anything down and then when you'll decide later transfer into that course and the subjects you've already done can maybe be a gen ed or something

I guess you could always go into teaching - I mean as long as you like kids/teens and well, I'm fairly sure it's a broad subject. Atar cut-of is around 80.

If you don't like your subjects - what subjects would you rather prefer to be doing? Or if you don't have any subjects you like, what subjects wouldn't you mind doing as much?

Well some of my friends said just choose teaching since its not that hard
And many teachers nowadays are just crap but still get a job

The thing is i dont like school, or teaching in particular
I am not good at public speaking (like talk in front of the crowd or in front of my classmates)
And also i am looking for jobs that involve working in the office and does not have to do much public speaking

Is there anything like that?

But if i transfer does that mean i still have to pay for both the money of my first course and the new course?
Also if i transfer does that mean i have to be first year again?

no you only pay for what you do. for example I owe like $8K on hecs but generally an engo/sci degree costs like $60-70K

depends

Hmmm
Whats the job prospects for something like accountant or secretary ?

I have seen quite a lot of Asians who is just average or below average (with low atar) choose accounting at UWS
But if many ppl graduated as an accountant
Does that mean its more difficult to get jobs ?

you can become an accountant or secretary respectively. A google search will reveal the options available

yes in general. If supply > demand then obviously some are going to miss out

TBH No one can really help you but yourself. I don't think choosing a course for the sake of choosing it is a good way to go. I suggest taking a gap year and find where your interests truly lie before you spend thousands of dollars of tertiary education, rather than going a couple of years or so into a degree only to find you hate it, with accumulated debt.

Or you can start exploring your interests now because you still have a while to go before university offers need to be finalised.

More expensive uni fees in 2016 (results from taking gap year) due to the new policies ~

I think most people I've known who had no idea what they wanted to do or weren't able to make it to their dream course (e.g. Medicine) ended up doing something like Commerce (or Business), Commerce/Engineering or Science.
