if you read the description for the calculator it is specifically made for people with vision issues.

if you have low vision (whatever that constitutes according to nesa) OR if you have a different issue and you can prove by professional testimony that you NEED the speech output thing to sit the exam (which will be hard again bc its specifically for people with vision issues) then you'd probably get the provisions. i dont see why just anyone with a disability would get provisions

would inability to do maths without a calculator constitute a disability?
the nsw gov website says "Candidates must be familiar with a calculator's operation before the exam." sorry if i sound ignorant but if you know how to use a calculator, and you can use one, why would not being able to do math without a calculator matter? hsc maths exams allow you to use a calculator so how are you disadvantaged in that regard

if you can't use the calculator for whatever reason thats a different thing entirely. it probably wouldn't constitute a disability on its own, if you have a professional diagnosis/other proof of how that affects you maybe you could get provisions.

most people who have vision impairments are still capable of meeting course outcomes for hsc subjects. they just recieve adjustments such as a papers in braille, a reader, a scribe, etc.

I think disabled people should be put into something like a retirement home I dont think they're smart enough to do hsc
Like tax payers literally pay these people for pointless education ... The woke liberals that is the government believe these people aren't retarded and can succeed like bruh. A personal anecdote: there's a really stupid kid in my school who is last rank in everything and should be placed in an autism class. Can't even do standard 1 math or english studies, failing with a score of 20%, also he sounds... retarded, and that's a euphemism. Don't ask how I know. Your parents probably pay this kid and a multitude just like him.

Yh like I'm saying js put them in a retarded school or som they don't belong in normal schools because they js waste their classmates time and resources because they require extra and specified help. Its gonna be a win win for all of us because the normal people don't have to deal with these types of people anymore and retarded people are surrounded by other retarded people in their specialised schools yfm.

Imagine developing a calculator just for some
most people who have vision impairments are still capable of meeting course outcomes for hsc subjects. they just recieve adjustments such as a papers in braille, a reader, a scribe, etc.
If they were born without an eye or some kind of autism
* Students wishing to use the calculator’s speech output function must apply through NESA's HSC Disability Provisions program.
*Students who require Disability provisions should be in a mental institution.
would inability to do maths without a calculator constitute a disability?
