Frustrated or not, the way it was worded clearly did imply chauvinism, which is obviously why it's received the replies it has. We can't all be elite psychological profilers like you, so people have taken what was said was taken at face value.

In response to your question, maybe they have different definitions of fun to you? Either that or they might not be comfortable enough for that sort of fun just yet.
