New Job! -- Whats you're opinion about Computer/Technology magazines? (1 Viewer)

Woah. Right. Today was offered a job with a... well... technically it's an online consumer electronics review website, run by the same people who do APC and.. err.. other ones, too.

So, having not read a comp/tech mag for years, I need a crash course. Any bitching/thoughts/wonderous insights about anything you might be able to provide about your favourite comp mags, and/or reviews you've read?

....hopefully that makes sense!

Prior to about 98-99 there was a markedly 'geek' touch to many pieces, but the movement towards a more readable as well as technical piece seems to be the go in many magazines now. Only really read music/media stuff nowdays though :S

I definitely wouldn't mind escaping my IT sales job for something like that.

i like pc user and subscribe to it...i also buy the odd apc every now and then...only turn off the its m ore expensive...
