My campus doesn't get our money's worth, and under VSU we'd save $540, but lose student discounts at the Music Cafe. Further, benefits of Unionism at the Con would be the first to go. Some would argue that this is a good reason to support USU, but NOBODY at my campus uses $540 in union benefits.

Well, you do derive a certain amount of unpriced benefit from having the union outlets at campus, so it's not simply a question of did I save $540 in union discounts this year.

Union Outlet. One. With coffee that is so shit that only first years are foolish enough to buy it, and food that is of mediocre quality. Main campus have plenty of places to go for food besides Union outlets, and so do we. And we display our dissatisfaction by using those other places.

The main benefit the Union has provided Con students is the Sydney Eclectic Composers Society. Who don't actually GET any more union funding, thanks to stupid new rules and regulations.
