I don't feel ready for this at all! I do, but not as much as I would like to be ready. :(

There are heaps of amazing people on this forum Danz and Midifile for example who know this course is so much more detail than me :p.

Assuming you do communication- Sound Shadows are really stupid/basic. It's just saying that your head blocks soundwaves coming towards it (A shadow on the other side of your head), so obviously the amplitude of the sound will be less in one ear and you can tell the direction of the sound.

Stupid, but they've never asked it before so maybe it'll be good for 1 or 2 marks.

Other communication items to make sure you know:

* Medulla Oblongata/Cerebrum/Cerebellum

* Path of a sound/energy conversions in the ear (Basically sound>mechanical>electrochemical)

* Detection of sound by fish, insects, mammals

These apparently haven't been asked before.

I think that's right. cool. Is the round window related or is that just to relieve pressure? I have conflicting sources.

its a 'membrane between cochlea and middle ear'

sound doesn't pass through it i believe, its just to allow and relieve pressure
