has anyone seen this yet?

my friend said she's surprised it didn't get banned coz of the actual sex scenes, supposedly to "add to the emotional force of what you're seeing" (http://www.smh.com.au/news/Reviews/9-Songs/2005/05/13/1115843353901.html)

"Three other films - Ai No Corrida (1991), Romance (1999), and Intimacy (2001) also feature images of real sex. None of these, however, are as explicit as Nine Songs, which features 35 minutes of unsimulated sex." (http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/10/24/1098556297812.html?from=storyrhs)

I think this has been brought up in the News section before. It seems to be receiving a lot of positive feedback in Australia, so I'm now a little be more interested in seeing it, if for no other reason than to see whether unsimulated sex can somehow make a scene more powerful. Interestingly, even France, a country renowned for its relaxed censorship system, gave this an '18' (R) rating.

There is no comparison between the two. Zero. Zilch. Didlysquat How you can make such a comment after having seen or even read about either movie is beyond me.

(he did 24 hour party people)

i heard the sex scenes are very UN-erotic and not emotive
it'll be interesting to see actually

lol watched it today, it sucked ;D!

my boyfriend summarises it as:
sex, crap music, lots of ice (antarctica), sex, crap music, lots of ice (antarctica), sex, crap music, lots of ice (antarctica)

:p

there's an ejaculation scene, and i think only one scene where you can see him penetrating her. and there's a bondage scene, and sexy stiletto boots... but other than that the sex was pretty boring, the rest was was wtf :p
