Non-inky/smudgy pens for left-handed people? (1 Viewer)

I'm left-handed and I'm looking for a not-as-inky pen to write with. I'm currently using pilot fine ballpoint pen, and it smudges badly and the side of my hand turns all blue from the ink, especially after English and History exams.

Any recommendations for a specific brand of non-smudgy pens?

As jess said, buy the cheap ones from those $2 shops.

umm christ i'm trying to remember what pen i use. the side of my hand is always bright blue after exams though.
i just went and got a couple out of my bag, pilot 0.5 tip is pretty good.

yeah just any cheapo one.

my personal faves are the bic crystal m's.

Bic are good because they don't let out as much ink as other pens do and they dry quickly

my brother and sister are both left handed and they find that the staedtler stick 430M is a good pen as well as the faber castle ones with the grip on them

I think the ones i like are Schwan Stabilo's.

They work pretty well and dont smudge.

lol they write nicer for right-handed people.. not so much some left-handed people. When I use inky pens, I have to wait for the ink to dry repeatedly or else it would turn out into a huge smudgy mess.

Yes, but for me, some pens are too inky and my written work will look like a mess. One time, I was using Pilot 0.7 Medium ballpoint pen, and it was smudgy everywhere and my Economics teacher noticed it. She said she felt my pain because she's left-handed as well.

yes, of course we can, and we do, we dont have pens designed specifically for left handed people however some pens (such as the more expensive inky ones) smudge when we write, as we're writing over the top of ourselves...does that make sense?
like, right handed people dont have to drag their hand over what they've just written to start a new word.
so we use cheapos that dry really quickly so we can write quick without ending up with the pen all over the page and the side of our hand.

yeeeahh i find that problem too .. all the ink ends up on the side of my hand ... pssh !!

so i go to those korean shops to buy the penss.. both inky and non-inky are *thumbs up*
what about the Kilometrico pens ? i like them tooo
except the color of their blue ink looks so ugly

Like an uncle of mine writes with his left but no one in my immediate family is left handed, only I am

i like the kilmetrico - never clumpy. i like its blue colour

i agree! though i think all us left handers must realise that blue hands are unavoidable, regardless of the pen we use. especially after writing in three hour exams.

they 430 stad are quite good, THE MEDIUms force my writing to become bigger

the papermate kilometre or whatever they are called are substantial aswell though, it does leave my hand blue...
my suggestion if you do plan to use inky pens is to write on an angle or write in the air@ -- i know of serveral people who do that... they balance the pen on paper without having their hand touch paper!

What you ought to do is buy a left handed pen. Since your using a right handed pen it's smudging.

Gel pens are the least smudgy since they dry the quickest. However, they are expensive, around $4.00 for one.
