At the Academy Awards.

For me it's easily The Dark Knight. I want it to win also.

The Dark Knight will not win the Academy Award for Best Picture.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it's true.

Agree, sure it was a good movie and Heath Ledger will definately get a few awards for his performance but I really think its overrated, I could not stand Christian Bale as batman..

Nominated movies will probably be:

Slumdog Millionaire
Revolutionary Road
Frost/Nixon
The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons

The fifth movie could come out of Doubt or Australia

Who could win? I'd say Frost/Nixon. The Academy likes political movies and they love Ron Howard

I'd lean towards something like Slumdog Millionaire winning, also the new WWII drama The Reader with Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes, it looks like the stuff that makes critics tick the boxes, the Academy will most likely be fond of it.

Not Milk? First ______ politician, preaches for change and hope. Echoes the times! Hopefully not too much!

Might give Sean Penn a nomination, maybe even win it. But I don't think it'll get a nomination for Best Picture.

It's controversial, in a good way, but also not very appealing. How many people are interested in a movie about a gay politician? "Brokeback Mountain" was different because it wasn't the story of a gay cowboy, it was a love story, with gay characters. People watched it and liked it because of the love story.

Probably either Frost/Nixon or Benjamin Button.
