Its not "necessary", but they'll probably be presenting info to help introduce you to the faculty.

Yeah pretty much the only reason I'll be going is to meet new people. Form a group and such.

But yeah 9:30 is just bloody early for someone whose been waking up at 12noon for the past 3 months. Especially if you have to wake up at 7:30 to get there on time.

I dont think it'll be more than an hour.

I think you get separated into groups afterwards and get mentors to show you around the uni etc.

I didnt meet anyone, relying on my tutes for that cause all I got were James Ruse kids showing off their yearbooks and immature kids checking each other out speaking throughout the whole thing.

I left at the free lunch and never had the oppurtunity to take the tour.

If you dont take the tour you dont get the yellow bag and the free condom.

Ask politely for a bag (don't be an ass to the yellow shirt person) and you can usually score yourself a bag. (assuming that is your intention, just to get the bag)

They have so many bags, its more the challenge to find the friendly non-super-rule conforming yellow-shirter.

(I didn't go on the tour back in '04 and got 2 bags for free, they had heaps, I guess it is the luck of the draw)
