Hey sunny, what happens at a faculty welcoming? I'm busy on the day my faculty welcome occurs so I'm going on Wednesday just for the campus/library tours. Do you think the faculty welcome is important?

The faculty welcome isn't crucial, it just exposes you to a few of the lectureers from your faculty, and gives you a broad overview of the faculty/your course. It's quite similar to the stuff you have heard all along, especially the kind of stuff said on Open Day ...

Its good for one thing though, if you are unsure of where things are, some schools/faculties give specialised tours of the school/faculty (you get generalised uni tours with the yellow shirts). I'll be doing such tours for CSE on wednesday.

Occasionally. They take a while to render especially if viewed in different zooms other than 100% or if theres alot of colours and graphics involved.
