I trusted my instincts to use u^2=sin(x). The problem was at the very start I was completely not tuned in to use it wisely enough. 1hr into the paper the integral started making sense.

Well that sucks, the polynomials question I got +- sqrt(2)

I rejected p=0

If p=0 then the polynomial was just p(x)=x^3 so the roots were 0 0 and 0 and that leaves the problem that 1/(alpha+beta)^2 = 1/(0+0)^2 = 1/0

That's correct, I had a feeling that I should of checked the values of p, well there goes a mark

Ekman won't get 100% *audible gasp*
Unfortunately time was a major issue, in fact my working out for most questions was so messy and shocking, especially with the mechanics questions

Dude, that's so tedious. Do you just binomial the shit out of everything you can?
No i just noticed that since one term is divisible by 3 and therefore anything to the power of it is also divisible by 3 except the last term.

Did other people find this years paper for both 3 and 4U a fair bit harder than the 2012-14 BOS papers? IMO they have got harder each year
