I am so upset, my principal gave me the shittiest UAI prediction, <90.

WTF, i get 98 predictions by SAM... oh well i can kiss UNSW goodbye... prolly newcastle too....

nah dude, don't forget that UNSW has two rounds of interviews, and the second is based on UMAT plus your REAL UAI, so if your UMAT is good and your UAI as good as you claim it could be, then you're in with a chance. Also, provided you get above 93.8 as your real UAI, Newcastle basically doesn't care what you get, interiviews are given on UMAT and places are given on interivews provided you have 93.8+.

edit: just occurred to me: what marks did you use to predict your UAI on SAM? half yearly raw marks may not give as good an indication as you'd like...(though they aren't bad marks)

my SAM prediction comes from me averaging out all my assessment marks from all assessments in year 12, so frolm last year

so they aren't as high as what i got in my h.y.

but i figure if i can average 90's in most i must get at least 93+ or something

which school do you go to?

if you go to a bad school then chances are your 95s will be the same as an 80 in a selective school

if you go to a selective school and you're topping it then you would be somewhere at the top of the state

remember - your marks will be scaled against your hsc marks! you can't just put your assessment marks into sam and expect to get a prediction for you uai!
