she defies the physical laws of the land, I don't know how many babies had to give her blood so she could look that FUCKING HOT.

I am not exagerating when I say that she was the best looking woman there, all things considered...
i have to agree
she was easily more attractive than all other women there
some of them 40 years her junior

perhaps you're right. she's bathing in the blood of many english public school children.

Mirren was pretty smoking - 60 going on 40.

After Blanchett, Winslet and Foster, she'd get my pick for most attractive woman who I saw there.

She looked amazing.

Oh, and I think the Coens got an Oscar for Screenplay for Fargo, but given nobody counts Kubrick's Special Effects Oscar I figured it would be not counted also.

I thought Foster looked ick.
Winslet always looks hot.
BUT the surprise bombshell for me was JLO! How stunning did she look!

the other person 'too good for oscars' often mentioned is hitchcock

did he seriously not win any technical or production award?

Ok purely for looks, JLo was the best dressed/coiffed/made-up woman there. For charisma and sex appeal, Mirren.

For wholesome goodness, tie between Witherspoon and Winslet.

...Oh and Weisz was gorgeous as always.

Blanchett looked BOOOORING.

She is so white she's almost transparent. But it's not working for me anymore and she needs a new look/stylist cos she's turning into Fishsticks Paltrow v quickly.

Pene Cruz had bad makeup, expecially compared to her exquisite beauty in Volver, and she looked tarred and feathered in that dress, ew.

Omg remember THIS!

Joan Rivers ripped the shit out of her:

JR:
What are you wearing?

FP:
Alexander McQueen.

JR:
Was it a backup outfit or did you choose it?

FP:
He designed it for me.

JR:
It's...unique.

(FP walks away)

JR:
How can someone with SO much money look SO cheap?

Ellen was better than I thought she'd be, but her dancing really did piss me off. Why must she do that so?

Pretty predictable, really, I thought. Now everyone can quite whining about how Scorsese's never won, thank God, and will probably turn to Tarantino or Coen or somebody like that next.
ummm...both tarantino and the coens have won oscars for writing (pulp fiction and fargo)

I am so angry, it's all this fucking reverse racism bullshit. I mean, as if the makeup in Pan's Labrynth was better than that in CLICK!

FUCK! I mean I would have understood if they'd made Ofelia FAT! or OLD! or GREEN or something, but they just put a little lip gloss on some fawns and some bronzer on the enormous toad.

FUCK OFF!

I'm boycotting the oscars from now on.

THE DEPARTED yeah!!!

Um on that note, did anyone else think Diane Keaton looked like pure plastic? I'm not really knowledgeable on that kind of nothing, but I was pretty shocked when she gave out the best picture award.

exactly. what kind of universe thinks that comically turning adam sandler into a fat/old person ISN'T award-worthy business? everyone knows those creatures in pan's are actually native spanish wildlife.
