I was thinking of Doing Roman Military for the major investigation project...but i'm not sure how i can get an essay out of it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for possible essay questions relating to this topic?

I was thinking something along the lines of, Evaluate the roles of various military personnel and the techniques used by the Roman military.

The Roman Empire lasted for a pretty long time... Why don't you focus on a few specific battles?
