which is harder between the two? what are the UAI cut-offs? which one has better job prospects?

for optometry the uai for CSP students has slowly risen and fallen each year -

as for orthoptics i'm not so sure but i think the uai is somewhere in the high 80s-low 90s. i don't know if one is necessarily harder than the other. in the end they probably both involve the same amount of hard work like any course in university, but optometry is longer and is a 5 year course so that is also something to consider.
