Does anyone know if we can get a free modem upgrade? Im still running the old nortel CM200 and whilst theres nothing wrong with it, from what i hear, its not compatible if optus happen to upgrade to docsis 2.0

nope optus doesn't offer modem upgrades
lol optus upgrade to docsis2, maybe in the next century

i think we will all be using internet2 by that time

I'm not sure about ping times for cable, but doesn't mine seem slow?

Ping statistics for 211.30.24.1:

Hmm, perhaps ill stick with my old modem, hasnt given me grief yet and been running strong for a good odd 4-5 years.

OK well yeah, it happens some days, and other days it works fine...

I'm gonna wait another week; but atm it isn't a pressing issue. If it was during uni time I'd be more worried because I would need the net more. But thanks for all the help guys! You are all ace
