today i was discussing with my modern history teacher about me stuffing up in my (russia) essay. she said that the problem was, was that i was OVERTRYING. i mean, i didnt 'answer the question' 100%, i had all the info but i didnt apply.
but DONT say that youre OVERTRYING.....grrrrrrrr

i had that problem too. my teacher told me to stop being smart and don't disregard the obvious answers.

THEN add your kick-ass information.

Once I took this mind-set on, I got really really good marks.

its not that so much. its more in exam situations, you try to do fancy shit and u neglect the necessary stuff.
and also, you do too much fancy shit and ur essay or whatever becomes conveluted to the MAX.
i know its easy to say 'stick to the topic and then embellish.'
but its HARD! lol
