Hi,
I was just wondering how to do this question,

a) Show that the point (a cos θ, b sinθ) lies on the curve x^2/a^2 + y^2/b^2 = 1

any ideas??!!

x^2/a^2 + y^2/b^2 = 1

x,y (acos@, bsin@)

Into LHS:

=a^2cos^2@/a^2+b^2sin^2@/b^2

=cos^2@+sin^2@

=1=RHS

EDIT: ahh didn't see your comment there sikhman lol sorry
