Hey I have a english extension speech next week. The deadline for handing the script was 2 days ago on Tuesday at 8:45 am. But due to traffic problems (accident on road) I got there almost 10 minutes late at 8:53. The teacher said I would be penalised 20% for it.... Do you think this is unfair?

Well to be fair, You did aim to get there at 8:43 which is very last minute, there are a number of other factors besides traffic that could have influenced you being late
Should have aimed to be there a bit earlier.
They did this all the time at my school although I've always thought it was a bit harsh

I didnt say i aimed to be there at 8:43 i said i got there at 8:53 which was almost 10 minutes after the deadline
yeah i know rules are rules but honestly there were kids leaving as I got there who had submitted their stuff no hassle. Which is unfair becuase they were obviously outside the deadline too...
