Hello all,
After searching the forum I struggled to find a post relating to perceptions of belonging in Peter Skrzynecki. I have an inclass essay due shortly and I need points relationg to the variance in perceptions of belonging. Any help would be appreciated.

Well in 'St. Patrick's College', the protagonist's perception of belonging is that he does not need religion in his life in order to belong, as opposed to the majority of the school.
As well as that, in the same poem his mother believes that his attendance at the school will increase their social status and recognition (her perception of belonging to that group), which he disagrees with (he does not share the same social values as his mother). I guess I could give some more help, but I'm procrastinating atm :p. I can try to remember to add to this if you want tomorrow - when is your essay? GL
