im looking to transfer next year, and i was just wondering where you get the personal statement from.....uts or do it yourself

one more question though regarding personal statement
just wondering how effective are they when it comes to the selection process
i heard that its strongly advised to submit one but the idea of writing a 2500 essay on it is a deterrent
is it really necessary and will it affect my chances of gettin into a UAI 85 course next year?
btw i got 79.85 and a gpa of 4.25 so far

I'm not sure about how effective it would be, but my guess is they take all uais, uni semester marks and the personal statement into account when they consider your application..

but if i have the sufficient uai and 1st year tertiary results they probably wont look at my personal statement right?
i think its just there for a boost just incase i miss the cutoff by a little bit
im looking at an external transfer and currently at unsw doing an environmental science degree

I can't 100% say that they won't look at your personal statement.. well if it's strongly advised then you might as well do it..
otherwise it would probably be better to consult a UTS advisor here..

science faculty would know more..
servicedesk is normally for general enquiries, student administration and IT support..
