Petrachian love poetry (1 Viewer)

In adv english we are studying petrachian love poetry, in particular works by John Donne. We have to write an italian sonnet.....and come on im a guy this sort of love stuff doesnt come naturally. Can anybody help me think of ideas for it or possibly help me write it?

Italian Sonnet-
14 line poem
part 1 octet(8lines) - intro to a problem (4lines) Exand on problem (4lines)
Part 2- Sectet (6lines)- solves problem

Rhyming pattern-
Octet- ABBA ABBA
Sectet- CDE CDE (may vary)
It has to based on love, any ideas?

And there was this guy called LottoX
And I was like, "Yay, I wanna have sex"
Then my mind went into a mess

But then I became a little obsession
Because I couldn't stop following him around
I tried to stalk him without a sound
But alas, I needed to make a confession.

Lol, but then I found out
That he was a pedophile
And I was a naive underage girl

We meshed together, without a doubt
Together like the teeth of a crocodile
But I'll have to wait for his ban to uncurl.

Okay, so back to helping the poor kid now

They'll give you some more direction. Also don't use cliches, you know roses are red, avoid mentions of hearts of moons.

Look up rhyming dictionaries on the net and those can help as well. A good rule of thumb when rhyming is to keep the amount of syllables in the rhyming words the same ie: thistle, whistle (two syllables each).

Since it's a traditional verse form as well, make sure the word at the beginning of each line is capitalised and that there are periods at the end of each stanza (section of text). An easy exercise when punctuating a poem is to read it aloud and mark down a short pause as a comma. A longer pause is a period (or question mark depending).

Once I was posting on BOS
And talking about how NSG > NSB
But LottoX appeared to disagree
I was offended but impressed, I must digress
WithoutWings told us to clear the spam
Or else she would close the thread
So we took it to MSN instead
And talked about the HSC Exam
That tiny spark became a flare
And from that flare, grew a flame
And from that flame, a huge fire
And so began the love affair
My heart skips a beat at his name
Because nothing fills me with such desire.
