Hi all,
I know that this is probably a pretty tired course of discussion, but I was wondering if anyone could give me a bit of clarity on getting into ANU's PhB program. After they announced they would be using Yr. 11 marks to determine your acceptance into an ANU undergraduate degree in 2020, I was pretty excited because my Yr. 11 marks were good enough (I think) to get into the PhB. They are as follows -
Physics - 99
Chemistry - 94
Math Methods - 97
Specialist Maths - 99
English - 99
Geography - 99
I'm assuming that, if this was achieved in Yr. 12, it would get me an ATAR at or above 99. However I'm wondering about the extra-curricular component. My school doesn't offer acceleration or any big academic opportunities, so everything I've done or achieved outside of school has been 100% my own initiative. I was accepted into NYSF but my session was completely cancelled because of the bushfires and I did a work experience program at Mt. Stromlo. If anyone has any knowledge of the PhB, what do you think my chances of getting in would be? Or just any other advice on being accepted?
