Phone calls from the SMH? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone got a phone call from SMH saying that they will be in the paper on the band 6 list?

no, they don't ever give calls..you just have to buy the paper and see for yourself..the only people who get calls are for first in state (and that call is made from the board of studies, not smh)

yeah there are thousands that do get band 6

No not everyones just band six and the special award winners.

i think if you come 1st in a subject, you get a phone call and are sworn to an "oath of secrecy" until they have the ceremony since its unfair to other ppl who havent got their results

yeah you are pretty much sworn to secrecy (as ive been told) but come on what are they going to do if you say something?? youll still be first no matter what. haha.
if it was me id be telling everyobne...it wont but i can only dream

1st in the state gets published on the same day results come out. SMH makes calls to nobody.

What about on the BOS site? Do they list distinguished achievers?

First in palce - published on BOS on monday

HSC results on tuesday

Wednesday - uai and
also BOS publishes distinguished achievers, top 20 in courses etc and all this will be published in the newspaper
