The correct definition for 1 ampere is:

The currect flowing through 2 electrical conductors placed at 1m apart in a vacuum which give 2 x 10^-7 Newtons of force per 1 m of length of the conductor as given by the formula of force between two conductors

i dont know about 1 volt

Reduced to SI base units, 1 V = 1 kg m^2 s^-3 A^-1 (kilogram meter squared per second cubed per ampere).

i cant explain it though

Ive typed this up before but:

Voltage is the measure of energy given to a unit charge.

1 Volt=1 Joule/Coloumb
