i really hope physics gets better.
so far its just been, looking at history of models, and waves.. waves was ok
i hope theres more maths in the motion topic.
our assessment was a freakin research report..!?
most of it was practically irrellivant to the topic.

physics is still one of my favourites.
but so different to what i thought it would be.

haha, no tutoring for me. Probably won't need it in physics ever. My teacher is the greatest, Dr Butler. Those in NSW check the side of you're textbook he probably wrote it. Awesome guy, kinda whacked in the head eccentric, too smart too be sane type. I love the subject and will take it to year 12 guaranteed. He also includes a lot of stuff non B(oard)OS approved stuff which is 'too advanced' good fun. Like 3D vectors, makes me go cross eyed, haha.

PHYSICS FTW ie. Greatest subject ever.

With the topic of motion, you do get a bit of maths...its not hard, probably year 9/10ish, making 'y' the topic and substituting that formula in there etc....
The good part is the movies that you watch. There is a topic of car momentum/impulse, and they describe it through smashing a car in a wall a few times, very interesting.

The scary thing is how important seatbelts are in cars! That and airbags....mm, increase your stopping time down by .6 of a second and you can potentially save yourself 350000 Newtons...
Bah, rambling on...
Its a good topic :)

So far we're doing jack, easy....but boring. Good class though, a few idiots, but otherwise small and pleasant.

Physics is a very easy subject. BOS has made it easy. My parents, when they did it, had to memorise all their formulas, and that was then it wasnt watered down.

The "strength of light". What the hell is that? The intensity, the brightness the wavelength the velocity in a medium?

In physics you need to be specific or you will get wasted.

(by the way i am coming first in HSC phys at the moment at Manly Selective.....just had to gloat)

Maybe because you're a Goocher..
yeah you might have done the same research assignment as me.
Assess the economic issues in this... wtf???

You guys still have excursions? We, the year group, went to Luna Park to do some rudimentary dynamics and kinematics last year, and it turned out to be quite a fruitless exploit; two of the rides were closed, and most of us were they're for fun - most of us were able to leech off others for the findings.

I had a Biology field trip, not an excursion; not for fun, but for 'work', SLAVE LABOUR... it was more like hiking and trekking.
Totally.
Harder, as James said, but infinitely more interesting, IMO.
Yeah lol, its all fun for us.

But hell, i need it. My school really takes it out of you, can't imagine how its like for ppl at selective schools.

Like, how is the energy-mass equivalence expression relevant here; and why?
Besides, special relativity isn't in the Yr11 course.

Not many schools are up to/doing The Cosmic Engine yet; and even though I myself have just flunked Physics (OMG, WTF?) and have yet to learn The Cosmic Engine formally in Yr11 Physics classes, what do you need, pwincessdiana?
Well you're serious.

Get off my internet.
