Hi, I'm new to this forum (this is my first post)...anyways I'm from Canada (ya..all the way over on the other side of the globe) and am interested in doing a bachelor's of Physiotherapy in Australia. I applied to a whole bunch of places..but I really want to go to JCU. Just wanted to know how many international students these programs usually accept every year? Thanks!

Stargaze: Why JCU? Well, I go to university here, and really don't like the big university lifestyle (ie. the uni is so big it could be its own freaking town). JCU appears to be smaller and more intimate, and I heard it has some really great teachers. I liked UQ as well, but something about JCU really caught my eye

funnybunny: I chose Australia because I would rather not go to the US or the UK, and there isn't very many choices here in canada..besides, here we get 300 days of rain and cold...i'd prefer 300 days of warmth and sunshine :)

good choice... JCU has the nicest weather.... cos charles darwin uni is too hot lolz.. =) and doesnt offer many courses =p

i personally lik the smaller town situation too... its better for transport and socialising when ure away from home..

i suspect dunno much about the physio circuit.. but as long as the course/teaching meets ure needs then its good.. hopefully its thorough

Ahh fair enough sunnybuns. I thought I'll just point out at Physio @ USyd is at a pretty small campus too (i.e. its at the Health Science campus in Cumberland, not the main campus in Sydney city).

All the best for JCU!

Here's what I know about physio @ monash/melbourne. I got offered a place at Monash and not for Melbourne :p

Check their websites. I think physio entry for monash/melb is actually pretty hard, at least compared to usyd.

I just got accepted into the Bachelor of Physiotherapy program at Griffith University (gold coast campus). I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this program or the campus? All I know is that it's a 5 year program compared to 4years at the other unis. Thanks for any info!
