Seeing as some PIPs receive awards from the Society & Culture Association, does this impact on the recipient's UAI in any way? My teacher was telling us once about how outstanding PIPs receive High Distinctions or prizes in specific subject areas e.g. Gender, Popular Culture, etc. Just like to know whether, if you get one, it affects your UAI in the same way a state ranking does? Thanks

i'm pretty sure it doesn't...
but if you keep in mind that the recipients are people who've done well with the PIPs (in terms of marks) then it still counts well for the UAI.

you find out about awards when you get your HSC results.

and if you get an award you've pretty much gotten 30/30 which would help your uai greatly i suspect

haha yeah, wouldn't do too much damage at all...
A member of the Society&Culture Association Executive said that the awards are released a few days before Christmas.
