Attention to all students conducting interviews or questionnaires for Primary PIP Research!

Your questionnaires and interviews are considered INVALID and NOT Primary research if they are conducted over the internet, msn, myspace, boredofstudies.org, other forums, etc.

These methodologies must be conducted in person/over the phone, etc to be considered valid.

This has come to mine and about 900 other students attention after attending a PIP Day seminar held in Sydney on Friday March 7th 2008.

Do not risk your PIP! Do not risk your facts, data and research!

yeah i was at the PIP day.

i was fairly surprised to hear that. I don't get the feeling its very well known that they don't consider it vaild research. My teacher's certainly never mentioned it.

I'm glad i haven't conducted any surveys on the internet (lol i haven't decided on a topic yet...i know, i'm freaking out fairly badly :uhoh: ) but i know someone in my class who has...i don't know whether she'll use that research or not now...

They did say at the PIP day , though, that it was OK if you were say interviewing a specialist in the area your studying that lived overseas/far, FAR away>>> you could conduct it via email/MSN. So in certain circumstances its cool.

But good work kill. for bringing it to people's attention :uhhuh:

Wow, my teacher tells us to conduct surveys over the net. I won't be doing that.
