Does it count as plagerism if me and my classmate brainstormed techniques in class and used them in our essays? Like exactly the same ones...Our writing styles are different so yeah...still not sure if we'll get blamed for plagerising or not :S

Having the same techniques is fine, as long as you didn't share paragraphs of writing close to word for word it wont matter.
