hey,
i'm just about done with my biology field study, there's only a bit left, though, i have no idea what a profile diagram and a plan sketch is ?
can anyone help ?

Hi,

I am in a similar situation as well. I know profile diagram is just the sideways diagram. For eg, if your ecosystem was a rock platform, you indicate which species grew at what heights. I am a bit confused about the plan sketch. I have infered that this is just the view from above: "www.saburchill.com/IBbiology/downloads/008.pdf"

i worked out what they were in the end lol
the plan sketch is kind of a 3D version of your selected area, and like you said, the profile diagram is basically a transect..
