With geometry, relax. You gotta learn to feel it, embrace within. Just remember it how i always do; F for corresponding angles, Z for alternate angles n 4 cointerior logic prevails! :)
I have to say that was the abosultely bestest cutest message Ive seen posted lately! And I guess I will have to follow everyones advice but I definately will attempt to 'embrace' it from within :)

Thankyou /all/ for attempting to reveal the mysteries of plane geometry: Im assuming this is the one topic where long term memory just wont work

Wow well that definately makes me feel better. Not only that but it really increased my respect for you Velox

Anyways I have the majority of those down pat but theres a few I keep forgetting, or minor differences. For instance: A rhombus I can never remember. I'm trying to work on my long term memory. If worst comes to worst I can cram before the big assessments :)

Besides its my worst area of maths and Im not having an assessment on it right now - so I figure with the effort I'm going to put in over the 2 week holiday I should boost my long term memory of them.
Fingers crossed anyways :p

A rhombus is a parallelogram with which 2 adjacent sides are equal and therefore all sides are equal and diagonals bisect each other and are perpendicular to each other .... i think....
Note the overall shape is very similar to a ||'gram except that all sides are equal.

You could also think a rhombus as a square on a slant, allowing the diagonals to become perpendicular
