Yes it will. Inflated cutoffs, I know someone who got .25 below the cutoff and got into UNSW Law; no AAA or whatever.
There are alternative ways to get in.
My bad - yeah, I've heard of people getting lower than the cutoff at UNSW. Not really at USyd though, it's pretty rigid (except for exigent circumstances). In relation to transfer, as solooooooooo has referred to; it's quite difficult to transfer into USyd law. UNSW Law transfers seem to be.....easy, though. :p

nah, not sydney boys either.
Probs Baulko then?

Who knew my school would be so underrated.

on topic, i don't really have an interest in med or law as much as commerce, so im not really worried about getting into courses.

also, i heard usyd med only accepts 8 people. is this true?

I thought they accepted about 10 people per year from their MedSci transfers or something like that?

Besides opportunities for scholarships and pride (and a sense of accomplishment), the difference is really tokenistic imo. So long as you get into your course, I don't think it really matters.

Even for a uni student... heck even as a person, labeling yourself as a masochist isn't a very wise thing to do.
