Pokemon Help (1 Viewer)

Can somebody help me here
I'm playing Pokemon Red, and I'm up to that part south of Lavender Town where there's a Snorlax blocking the path, I'm trying to catch it but I can't, because
1/ it keeps killing my weaker Pokemon
2/ it keeps using REST and getting rid of its Poison, and regains its strength, and
3/ when I throw great balls at it, it breaks out of it even when it has 1HP left

I'm not cheating, so does anyone have any strategies to help me catch the Snorlax? It's really pissing me off

yeah well I'm using
Oddish lvl 25
Gyrados lvl 29
Pidgey lvl 27
Pikachu lvl 28
Squirtle lvl 31
Diglett lvl 27

which are ok considering that the next Gym I have to battle, Erika in Celadon City, has Pokemon ranging from lvl 24-29...

the attacks are either too weak or too strong...

Try reducing its health to its not completely fainted. Poison, sleep, paralyze, burn it and use either a ultra ball or great ball. U should have the snorlax. Try using a ghost pokemon, as they are effective against snorlax.

Or, you could do what you should've done a long time ago:

1) Gather wood, including small twigs.
2) Place so that it resembles a teepee. Put the larger pieces on the bottom, twigs on the top.
3) Light match by striking the head of the match against the side of the packet, apply match to pile of wood.
4) Wait two to three minutes, throw cartridge on top.

5) Optionally, stir, let simmer for 10 minutes, serve on bed of pasta. Garnish.

nah, its cos when i played it before, i cheated all the way through, so i promised myself when i finished school id play honestly so there you go

so mad. i have the red version and have all the pokemon.....
i might try to catch mew now.....
is there anything on catching bluchu i think thats whats its called
though i havnt played it for awhile, i think i might just play it and go to the slot machines......

oh cheating's no good, you truly enjoy a game after you play it properly
i admit the new pokemon are crap since the creator can't be bothered thinking of any original ideas and names for new pokemon. they probably go yep yep pokemon's a good seller, lets just make some more
