It was BoS, they focused in on the logo on the top of the main page and also on the thread title: UAI marks of 2004, tell us how you did...or something like that created by Minai.

I think the main thiing they want is the guy who originally broke in. That article makes it seem like they broke into BoS's database

The thing is pinpointing a "break in" will be hard because it wasn't a server side hack. It was an open flaw, all it involved was making sure you went to the right page. It didn't involve any cracking of the server or anything dodgy like that.
