i am just curious..what are the popular uni courses at your school and the university preference.

with my school..the top preference would probably be business at uts, law at unsw and science at sydney.

feel free to have your input!

i bet all the james ruse people have just med and law as theirs...what do you guys think? its pretty rare for people with 99.95 to go into nursing or teaching...

we had stats that from a survey 60% of students are aiming for uni, mostly to do with business, im going for finance :uhhuh:

yep..hardly any teaching. i think thats 4 teachers in 5 years from sbhs.

At Fort Street we gets heap of people doing just Arts at Sydney Uni. Seriously, every year heaps of people do Arts at Sydney Uni. The majority of students go to sydney uni, i dunno why.

Believe it or not, at this time i am probably looking at doing Arts at sydney uni, only coz i have no idea what i wanna be, let alone any ambition. Arts or Liberal studes.

Sydney Technical High School.

unsw commerce is the one most are going for.

also acturial studies, advanced science, engineering and architecture.

it seems im the only one that really wants UTS Business at my school...

Engineering seems to be pretty popular, at Newcastle.
Also med, teaching and music seem to be pretty popular choices.
I'm at Hunter Performing Arts.

uts is pretty popular at my school this year... i think it was the free food and freebies at the open day.

all the engineering people at my school are aiming for unsw
and the science at sydney
for somereason..i have yet to hear about macquarie uni, people say that its far... but isn't it just in ryde? how many campuses do they have?

Mostly UNSW Medicine, UNSW Commerce/Law, USYD Arts/Law, UNSW Commerce, and a whole heap of many courses in between

A few of the guys in my year are going for Commerce. A few did the UMAT as well. Some of my friends are looking at Engineering. Afaik, about 7 or 8 guys are putting UNSW as their first preference with some at USyd. The majority will probably go to Macquarie coz of the location of our school though.

but depending on wat course...most ppl in my skool prefer syd and courses to do wif sci, IT n stuff

but psych is definitely the buzz word this year, and it goes to prove that single-sex boys schools do really turn men into girls.

Why would you say USyd is more prestigious? I'm not disputing it, but I'm just curious as to why you might say that.
