My favs include Mogwai (who are strangely addictive), Mono, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, This Will Destroy You, God Is An Astronaut, etc.

Any love for Post-Rock here?

Love the genre .. most of my fav's have been mentioned there, but throw in Slint, 65DaysOfStatic and Jesu.

Apparently Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" is one of the better Post-rock albums of back in the day too but I'm still yet to listen :(

right you are.
anyone who wasnt there missed out. we all knew beforehand that it wouldnt be the average show but it became so much more than that when it morphed into some kind of unstoppable emotional machine. everytime i turned to my friends, they, and the people around us all had their eyes closed. it was glorious.

Goddamn. Sounds unreal. I also missed Mono when they came here. Even though I wasnt really into them back then, I still kick myself everytime I think about it, having missed the chance.

Yeah was also as EiTS last night .. brilliant gig, can't believe we got Yasmin the Light. Loved that bit where all three guitarists had the synchronised swinging going .. I enjoyed Eluvium aswell except there was far too much talking/background noise going on :(

Mono were good...not great. But it was worth it to see World's End Girlfriend
