i know heaps of you kiddies complain about those people who complain about getting 99. the thing is that...

these people are actually smart and didnt achieve what they should have!

God has apportioned to us varying levels of aptitude and intelligence. some of you were lucky to get 85 and some of you should've done better than 99.8 because thats just the way it is.
Ouch. I'm kinda offended. 58's not that bad a UAI, is it? I understand that some people have the right to complain/moan/whinge about their mark, I'd be upset in their shoes too...But are you suggesting people like me are physically incapable of getting higher than say, 60 or so? :'(

Eh, nevermind. I'm probably being overly emo about my lack of knowledge. :p Congrats (again) to everyone who got 90 and above. That's pretty damn amazing and you deserve it. :D

well thade i have no idea who you are, what you do and what your circumstances were. if doing school work isn't your thing then you have nothing to be worried about. some aren't smart and i'm not going to be the one to explain why. we all have different gifts apportioned to us.

Plus Sydney Uni feels like giving me an extra 5 points if I go there, so I'll just say I got 99.55!

It's the University Admission Index, your HSC marks are a measure of how smart you are, the UAI is a method for ranking a broad range of students studying different courses up against eachother.

Honestly, I think the only distinction necessary is getting an offer to your primary choice or not.

I can totally understand expecting more from yourself even with a 99.95 or whatever you may have, but actually vocalizing those issues seems pointless if you will still get into the course you want.

/shrug, just my 2 cents

Was expecting 93-94, uni course cut-off was 96.8, SAM predicted 96.85; ended up with 97.35. Feel totally pleased and satisfied with it, and I'm so happy for everyone who surpassed or met their expectations. For those who didn't, it's just a number, and it shits me how that number can affect people, including my friends. There are options available to you. I guarantee it.

Anyways, this will be my last post on boredofstudies. The site's been an invaluable aid, but now thats its culminated with the UAI's I don't want to linger. This chapter is done.

'Gratz again to everyone, see you 'round!

I know a lot of people here get in the 90+'s but I was always having trouble finding a person who got in the mid 80's so here are mine

Course | Exam Mark | Assessment mark| HSC Mark | Band
Chemistry 80/100 72/100 76 4
English (Advanced) 81/100 78/100 80 5
Mathematics 79/100 80/100 80 5
Modern History 82/100 88/100 85 5
Senior Science 90/100 92/100 91 6
And, to help people search in this thread, I'll add some common things they'll search for

UAI : 85 , 86 , 87

(End UAI for me was 86.20 )

They pretend that you got 5 extra points and theyll measure u up against everyone else that way.

I'm not too sure on that.
