Our Extension teacher was telling us of a question in a past paper where students were asked to write a postmodern toothpaste add!!

i am absolutely terrified that we will get something similar in our trial...

does anyone have any useful tips for writing in a Postmodern style, just incase we get asked to write a postmodern text?

you got a great mark for the postmodern pieces we had to write for that assessment at school. i know you dont think 18.5 out of 20 is good, but.....
my advice lozza is to take into consideration what rout said about the piece of writing you did, maybe re-write it and just learn it.
rout said we had to know everything - a strong indication that we will need to know the general gist of the text we wrote in class!

stop stressing! you will do great!

I try to just use as many postmodernist techniques and features as I can... so I try for intertexuality, variety of text types, self-referentiality and all that jazz. I also try to reflect the kind of discussions we've had in class about postmodernism, so sometimes I refer to paradigms and crap...
