Tomorrow, we'll be having a superconductors practical in the lab. I'm not sure why we're having it, as:
1. It's in the HSC syllabus. The HSC starts term 4?
2. My other courses haven't even started the HSC yet, so why should Physics?
3. It's in the 3rd module, from Ideas to Implementation. Isn't the 1st module Space? I know that different schools start from different modules, but why the practical now?
I'd have to ask my teacher tomorrow. But anyway, this is mainly aimed towards the current HSC 08'ers, but what is necessary to know for this practical? All I currently know is that superconductors have a very low electrical resistance, hence, electric charge flows at zero resistance. Has anyone got a practical method/report they've made for this experiment?
Thanks in advance.
