My friend wants to pick anatomy and she is unsure about whether CHEMISTRY is required.

Looking at the handbook here http://www.student.unsw.edu.au/handbook/plans/ANATA3970.shtml

it shows BIOS is needed in order to move to second year anatomy and CHEMISTRY is NOT needed.

However, I'm looking at the handbook that I bought and on page 265 it shows that CHEMISTRY is NOT a pre-requisite. Then I got to page 270 and look at the anatomy section and it shows that CHEMISTRY IS required..... as well as MATHS

eh??

chemistry is a prerequisite.

i only know this because i was going to do anatomy, but decided against it cause i didn't want to do chemistry.

i forget it maths is or not, but i'd assume it is, especiall since it's a Science degree.

Also, for Anatomy you when you have to do BIOS1101 and BIOS1201, when you do a search on anatomy when adding courses, it only shows BIOS1201 that can be added.

Isn't 1201 meant to be only for session 2 after you have completed 1101?

I don't even see BIOS1101 on the list, it doesn't exist yet it is a pre-requisite for anatomy?

it's incredibly stupid the naming of these courses, cause the names are misleading.

1201 Cells and Genes, you do take that in Semester 1.

1101 You take that in session 2.

It's stupid because you'd excpect it to be the other way around.

Yeah you are right, BIOS 1201 is semester 1, and BIOS1101 is semester 2.

Now that is very misleading consdiered most courses have 1101 as their semester 1 names...

thanks for the help.
