It would bring in one of the political transformation method used, and then you would say whatever they ask was to some extent effective, and then bring in the rest -> propaganda censorship CoP, terror (great purge, Kirov decrees), showtrials, growth of the party

b) “Assess the political and economic impacts of the Bolshevik Consolidation of power on the Soviet Union to the 1920s”

our school uses the History Teachers Association Trials and last year’s Trial was identical. The trial was on economic transformation with collectivisation and 5 year plans and the hsc was economic transformation. They also have guessed other years well too

I'd just know all aspects just to be safe, you don't have to know much about the show trials other than important dates like Zinoviev and Kamenev's trial on Aug 1936, and it's significance. The rest of them such as propaganda/censorship and terror are pretty straight forward

2020 didn't have a power struggle question 2019 was just a regular "reason for stalin's emergence as leader", and 2021's question was really weird. They could ask something similar to the 2019 one, but I doubt it.

I reckon at least one of the questions will be on the 1941-1942 Japanese advance or impacts of Japanese occupation of the Pacific. I’m leaning heavily into those questions and hoping for the best
