Hi all, I'm currently in year 10 and finished with all my exams for the rest of term so I figure it's probably a good time to get ready for modern history next year but I don't know how I should prepare. So I ask for advice. Thanks :)

The topics you learn in Y11 and Y12 tend to be distinct from each other and no assumed knowledge from Y10 is needed for senior years, if you're really that interested in history you could read up on it for fun like I did but you don't need to necessarily prepare for anything

Fair enough, thanks then.
if you want to be smarter than 99% of others just learn alot about the fight of ideologies fascism communism and nationalism in 20th century. Just by being a nerd for ww2 and the cold war I already knew almost everything we were taught. ( However I had dropped the subject before the course was finished ) In all honesty if you like history you can get a really good result in the trial and hsc. Liking history helps with memorising things so the longer you have been exposed to history the better you can prepare for unseen texts and sources. Just chill. If you ask a senior at your school which history electives your class does that could be helpful to know.
