I say two things.. something that theyll like (have they been obsessively talking about that elton john live dvd?....) and something sentimental, that'll ake them think about the good times u spend to-get-her (together):p

........ and im talking about 1yr ones... dont go for 1 or 3months ones cos yeh... others are more spechial.

Anyway, I thought the playboy bunny logo was something that's for girls.
no, i did not dress up as the playboy bunny. i was 15, my mum would have shot me. or something just as bad and life-ending.

and last time i looked, they now have playboy, and play girl. you go into bras and things, and they have playboy stuff for guys, and playboy/playgirl stuff for girls.

and i only got him the keyring as we went shopping said and he was going to buy it, but didnt have any money on him. so i bought it for him.

yeah lucky him.. do u kno how much effort i got to do? cos like you need to at least make her think you remotely care

and yeah but im a slow writer and typer compared to how i think..
with essays i use the find/replace all u with you.. med with medicine etc.. and ud think id stop posting here too .. but no....
well i do care, but not as much as some chicks - i know that he loves me and cares about me/us, but i'm not obsessive.

i'm a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to shorthand...i used to use it all the time for at least 6mths, until my ex talked me out of it (end of last year)..and now i cant understand how i managed to comprehend it! as hfis said, moderation's ok, but i was pretty bad - i know what all the 'propper' people on bos mean about it being hard to comprehend at times. i'm not saying that yours' bad, but a lot of the younger kids are pretty shocking...and it's fine for notes as long as you know what you were trying to say and noone else has to read it (same with fast/scribbly writing i guess)

and nah, i've never 'expected' people to leave. hell, i wont be leaving that quickly! there's all the mods who're 03ers or older, not like they're bad or 'pathetic' in any sense - they're cool and respected members who're necessary to keep us kids in check...we'd all be teeny bopper shorthanders otherwise and noone else'd be able to understand any of us

Last time I gave presents, we both decided we were poor, so we made something.

I made a pair of Japanese scroll wall hangings, and he took all these photos and got them framed.

yeah i only buy for the yearly ones

so far i've bought him
- a gameboy
- a watch
- a pair of sunnies

(for the anniversaries)
I reckon if ur gonna buy anything at all.. make it something that they wanted anyway because i couldnt htink of anything worse that a $200 bunch of flowers because they die in a week and i'd rather have a nice rock on my finger in a years time than a dead bunch of roses

hehe... bridget jones.... ^^ *squeezes the bunny tail...beep beep*

not sure about those anniversaries, but small gifts can be just as romantic.
massages are good gifts.... making breakfast/lunch/dinner for them.... name a star after them... give them a pet... wallet... something that'll keep them warm during these cold winter nites when u just cant quite make it...

i completely agree with ajolie: "I say two things.. something that theyll like (have they been obsessively talking about that elton john live dvd?....) and something sentimental, that'll ake them think about the good times u spend to-get-her (together):p"

then again, presents shouldnt replace for simply being there and supporting them. =) ... like when they're all dreary with the flu...

Just passed 18 months with my bf, I got from him a model car, a body shop gift pack (has like soap, body cleanser, loofah, lip gloss and a massager), and a pair of earrings.
I had to read this twice, I thought you said that you got him all this... was a tad confuso. I thought "thats one kinky, open relationship!"

Whatever you do don't give them jewellery!!!

One of my friends gave her boyf of 2 years a silver bracelet and he dumped her the next week. That's gratitude.

all im doing is getting some ideas from different people.. and you probably should have done the same when you bought the playboy bunny stuff.. so dont judge my relationship by a few lines you read off the net, which happens to be in a forum about presents so sorry for asking a relevant question and not just critizing others and wasting space

Yeah my best m8 suggested jewellery! and my boyfriend defently doesn't wear jewellery except maybe a watch if he has to and i dont think he would be to keen on starting to wear it.

He said he just wants me in a bikini and a big hug, hehe, his a bad lier i know there has to be something he'd like aswell

i was shopping with the boyo and he said he wanted one, but he had no money.
i was just listening to what he wanted, so i got him something he wanted.

you could do a number of things take her out to a fancy restruant or even better one were the people know you and you can get them to be extra nice, also i've herd that gifts are better when givin in front of there friends, well thats just what someone said (i'd be sceptical) just have a good time, take her out show her something new
