20 pages for Maths for the entire semester... that's like ONLY 3 weeks of my Discrete 1090 lecture notes.....

Me and some other engineering students have two maths classes (Discrete and the Algebra/Calculus)... shouldn't we have 40 pages at least... gees..

If they want to save paper... DON'T WASTE PAPER ON THOSE STUPID QUESTIONAIRE ON THE 'GOOD UNI GUIDE'

Thank you for your attention.

For CSE it depends on the number of CSE subjects you are doing. You can get the stats of your account with the acc command.

Wonder if there are alternative ways of printing 'free' papers?!?! Printing notes at NewSouthQ is too risky to be caught  plus got to line up the NewSouthQueue

You're doing a COMP subject aren't you? Use the CSE labs!

You can print at the library, don't know how that works though.

You will get more pages after the HECS census date. Same with the IP quota. They've had people in the past use up all their quota then drop their COMP subjects before the HECS census date. This way it makes sure you'll do the subject before you get everything.

From memory I had 250 and did 1 comp subject. A base allocation of 100 +150 per CSE subject. (details here )

To print in all funky ways to save paper....

lpr -Pprintername.sgl file or
lpr -Pprintername.dup file

The first will print single sided (removing the watermark) and the second double sided doing the same thing. X is the number of pages you want to cram into the one physical piece of paper, it is optional and is 1 by default. You can use mlpr to print more than one logical page on one physical piece of paper.

Just for interest, some of the printer names were actually deliberately picked so that with you put -P infront it actually sounds like something (though I can't figure out shooter).

If you wanted to print 4 pages out on one piece of paper (2 logical pages on each physical side), you would do this if you were in the drum lab:

mlpr -Pitch.dup -2 file

mlpr defaults to printing two logical pages on each physical page anyway. You can read all about it with man mlpr and man lpr :D

Really! 500 pages and 5c per extra page is not a minute amount!
