hey guys,

I am having a bit of a drama with my enrolment.

firstly, i study law/commerce.

this sem im doing (enrolled and bought textbooks) -
Law204
Law208
Stat170
BBA102

Next sem I was planning on doing -

ACST101 (i am enrolled)
ECON110 (i am enrolled)
ACCG252 - I am not able to complete this 200 level because I havent done acst101 (until i do it at the same time)
ECON204- I am not able to complete this because i havent done econ110 (until i do at the same time).

The problem is, there are no 200 law units available for me to do (because ive done them all) in the second semester. So basically I am trying to fill in 4 commerce units.

Can somebody please advise me on the following-

1) the probability the accounting/finance department or any department would let me take a 200 level unit if i was doing the 100 unit at the same time?

2) I cannot swap acst101 and econ110 to 1st sem because i was advised they are both full (at academic advising) . Also i have my timetable and textbooks and really don't want to have to change...

3) If i cant do the last 2, should i do the 1st two and maybe get my people and planet units out of the way early?

4) please advise anything else to help me.

Thanks alot guys.

1 other thing, i got cps which is why my units are slightly differently ordered - hence why i was trying to complete all 200 level so i was back on track...

yeah,.. i'd suggest enrolling in something like mktg101, just to fill 2nd sem, Since you're doing Commerce, you can choose pretty much any 100 level business/commerce unit.
Not possible for you to do ECON204 and 110 at the same time, though.

do a people and a planet unit... thats what I'm doing. I can't enrol in any 200 level accounting unit major because I need to complete Accg100 & 101 first. And besides we need to complete a ppl or planet unit in order to get our degree, so I might as well do it this year.

Heres the course plan... Is it the same with u guys?

This year (my 2nd year):

I will be doing ACST101, BBA102, ACCG100 & 101, LAW204 & 208. So this 2nd year, I will be completing all the 100 level required for accounting/law. I can't do any 200 level accounting units major until 3rd year.

(3rd year):
I still have to do the 200 level. At 200 level, accounting major requires 9 credits points so thats 3 units, and keep in mind I'm third year and I still have to be on time and do 300 level accounting units as well. At 300 level ->12 credit points required, so thats 4 units. 200 level + 300 level = 7 accounting units.

(note: Credit points needed for accounting major is also the same for Finance major as well).

SO: in 3rd year, I will be doing 4 law units + another 4 accounting units. BUT I still need to do 3 more accounting units becuz 200 & 300 level requires me to do 7 accounting units.

This means I have to do my other 2 accounting units in 4th year and 1 units during summer school in order to finish my degree on time.

(4th year):
Note that after 2011, law degree will be changed requiring us to do 8 units in 4th year and 6 units in 5th year.

So I was thinking, I still need to complete 2 accounting units, so might do it in 4 or 5 th year.

okay, so

next sem (i found 1 more 100 level to do).

ACST101
ECON110 (done 111)
ECON241

and the 4th will have to be a people or planet i think ~ any suggestions for a person who doesn't really want to do it e.g. an easy unit

year 3

I'll be able to do econ 203 or 204
accg252

that will be all 200 level done.

plus law 300's where they fit in teaching periods.

sucks how they don't teach law units all year round
