Anyone love Elizabeth Wurtzel's defining work. The novel is hauntingly emotional and the movie has some extraordinary performances (i.e. Christina Ricci). Such an intricate depiction of depression.

Seen the movie recently. Can't say that I loved the movie, but it was definitely engaging.

Never read the book. Does the movie closely follow it?

i must admit the movie did make me feel somewhat empty inside due to its sad themes being constant. the movie semi-closely follows the book ... as always with a book to movie adaptation, things will be omitted
